Southern Fall Cookin'

Sooooo...it's that time again. The nights are cold, they days are cool, and the stove heats up. I grill during the summer, but there's something I love about cooking in the fall. I started off with a pot of Sweetheart Chili. The EASIEST (and tastiest I might add) Chili in the world!


Then on to some cupcakes I used to practice for the monster ones I am making for Liam's daycare class. 





Liam enjoyed them......




So then I decided to make a homemade marinade for some pork chops. Lemon juice, vegetable oil, black pepper, garlic, salt, and oregano. Very tasty!








Then came my favorite. FRIED PIES! Complete with McIntosh apples mom brought home from Michigan. 






Cook them down with some sugar and cinnamon, add a griddle, a little butter and some dough, and Voila!






I may not be a gourmet, but this is comfort food at its best. *sigh*
